Description

Image at twice the conventional resolution limit of the light microscope and at high speed.

N-SIM S is a wholly redesigned high-speed structured illumination microscopy (SIM) system that achieves speeds of up to 15 frames per second (fps), enabling the acquisition of fast biological processes at twice the spatial resolution of conventional light microscopes, and in multiple SIM modalities.

Key Features:

Twice the Resolution of Conventional Optical Microscopes N-SIM S doubles the resolution of conventional optical microscopes to ~115nm XY and ~300nm Z (3D-SIM mode). Combining the SIM technology licensed from UCSF with Nikon’s dedicated super-resolution objective lenses and uniquely high-performance Perfect Focus 4 (PFS4) focus-locking technology yields superior results in difficult systems.

Fast Live Cell Super-Resolution Imaging The N-SIM S Super Resolution Microscope achieves incredible acquisition speeds of up to 15 fps, enabling super-resolution time-lapse imaging of live cells and intracellular dynamics. Furthermore, Nikon’s new 100x silicone immersion lens is unrivaled in matching the optical properties of living systems, a critical consideration for successful SIM imaging.

Multiple SIM Modes Automatically and quickly switch between illumination patterns for 2D-SIM, 2D TIRF-SIM, and 3D-SIM modes with illumination patterns optimized for the chosen objective lens and illumination wavelength combination.

Multi-Channel Super Resolution The N-SIM S system allows multi-channel imaging with up to 5 lasers, enabling the study of dynamic interactions of multiple proteins of interest at the molecular level. An emission splitter may be employed for simultaneous two-color live imaging.
